Design

The Marshall Bluetooth Headphones are beautifully padded with soft leather on the earcups and headband, making them extremely comfortable to wear day-to-day and even through long listening sessions. The over-ear headphones are smaller than alternatives which ensures that they can fold up into a fairly compact and robust package for travel. Plus, the over-ear design isolates noise fairly well without active noise cancellation.

The headphones sleek design also features a microUSB port for charging and a 3.5mm headphones jack for hooking the mids up by cable, should the power run out. They’re slightly slimmer and smoother than the Marshall Major II’s but the Mid’s are simple and attractive in the way all Marshall are, with a little bit more comfort.

Connectivity

The greatest strength of the Marshall Major II headphones is the ease of its connectivity. The rock-solid connectivity is achieved through Bluetooth aptX Technology which allows you to listen up to 30+ hours of music. The aptX technology also minimises annoying audio/video syncing issues, allowing you to watch movies and videos without the dreaded lip sync.

The Marshall Mid’s control knob is another great design addition to the headphones. With the multidirectional control knob you can play, pause, shuffle and adjust the volume of your device as well as power your headphones on or off. Phone functionality – you can wirelessly answer, reject or end a call – can also be controlled by the control knob which makes the Marshall Mids the perfect pair of travelling headphones.

Sound

The Marshall Mid feature re-tuned 40mm dynamic drivers and higher-quality Bluetooth aptX connectivity to provide an extremely rich and fun listening experience. The custom 40mm dynamic drivers lend to a robust sound that balances clarity with just the right amount of bass – making it ideal for those who demand only the best in sound quality.

Verdict

It’s not a proper Marshall headphones review without a final verdict so here it is. The Marshall Mid headphones are an incredibly well-built, warm and dynamic pair of Bluetooth headphones with good looks, excellent usability and a great price point.
